Should I extend my vent pipes for snow? I am full timing in the rv and will be in snow this winter. It seems to me that more than a few inches of snow would cover the pipes up and then they wouldn't...

question about the slides
I have a 2880RL with 3 slides and it uses a hydraulic pump to run them in and out. Both slides have a 1/4" stranded cable and pulley on each end of the slide.
Any idea what they are used for?
