To partly answer your question about your slide creeping out, without knowing how old your RV is or what condition it's in, it would be hard to pinpoint a specific problem. Usually, however, most hydraulic slide assemblies creep because of one of three problems. 1) low fluid level 2) air in the hydraulic system or 3) a bad piston seal in the hydraulic cylinder. There are other possible problems, but I think you'll find your problem to be with one of these.
