Trailer tongue

Long time no talk. Hope everyone is doing well. Question.

It seems like my trailer tongue or coupler whatever you want to call it doesn't fit completely over my ball. Just wondering if this is normal?

good to have you back….are you sure the coupler
latch isn’t hanging up inside the ball socket?

It doesn't seem like it, latch is all the way back and the tongue goes down enough to be able to lift the back end of the truck up. But it just doesn't sit completely over the ball

well maybe clean everything up good and try a little grease ..possibly just the design of the hitch ball, sits a little higher but i’d want to be sure..maybe take another 2” ball ( if that’s the size) and just hold in your hand and see how far up it sits…someone will probably have an idea
