Tire Bending While Backing Up??

I have started to bring my Cougar to our house to prep before and clean up after our trip. While backing it up (almost a 90 degree turn) my DW says the tires look like they are going to come off the rims.

Is this normal and if not what can I do about it?

Yes, very normal with a tandem axle setup. No problems.

Normal...

But what can you do about it? Back further than necessary and then pull forward and straighten out a bit to give the wheels/tires a chance to relieve the stress of the bind they go through when making the tight turn.

Make sure to keep your tires at the proper inflation and check the lug nut torque every now again. Under-inflated tires could pop the bead off the rim.
