Question about goose neck adapter

After spending time with my friend he is going to get the B&W companion hitch for his B&W goose neck hitch. So I am feeling good now.
Thanks guys.

byrdr1, Howdy;

Best suggestion I can offer is to go to B&W's website and see what their spec's are. What reccomendations they suggest etc.
Hope you find reassurance there.

I had a gooseneck adapter on mine when I bought it. I loved it but, I just coulden't get comfortable w/ it. It always felt like it was flexing the pin box. I now have the Colibert Free Ride that drops down into my B&W hitch. Much more comfy w/ that set-up.

Was there any evidence of the pin box flexing, or was this just something you could not get our of your mind?

I believe if you check out the specs on the B&W web site you'll see that the companion is capable of handling your friends new rig. That's the same hitch I have and pulling Fusion 412 and love it.
When I get ready to pull my gooseneck flat bed trailer with my D3B dozer its so easy to remove the companion adapter & install the gooseneck ball & ready to go.

Don't believe you can go wrong with the B&W hitch.

Nothing I could prove. It always felt "spongy" when I would slow down or take off from a stop. To the point that I had my wife crawl to the back seat and watch as I run through some normal starts/stops. The 5th hitch I have in there now has none of what I was feeling before. I'm pretty good when it comes to the right feel for mechanical issues. If it was all in my head, it's now gone so, win win. lol
