toilet bowl stopper won't return

I have a Montana 3485SA, and the stopper in the toilet bowl will not fully return and keep water in it. I've tried putting vaseline on the seal, but it doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution?

hydrolic slides keep stopping

the hydrolic slides on my Montana 5th wheel keep stopping when putting them in. It never did this the first year, but does every time now. It has to sit for several seconds and then will continue in. It will happen a few times before the 3 slides are completely in. Any ideas???

Lift up on the foot pedal after a flush. That may help. Also, the manual for my toilet specifically says not to use Vaseline on the rubber seal. Petroleum products will destroy the rubber seal. I use some silicone spray on mine.

Sounds as if the fluid is low .... … check for leaks.

Our stopper/flapper did the same thing. We thought it was the seal. Turned out that the foot pedal operates 1 side of the flapper and the other side is supposed to be supported by a tab/indent. The flapper got pushed down slightly on 1 side and the tab pushed out of the indent. You might glove up and grab the flapper when you flush. You can see the arm of flapper on the left side and double check that its locked into position.

I can take pictures if that helps.

Good luck!

BJV110, Howdy;

Had the same problem the beggining of June.

Turn off water operate foot valve to empty the hose.

I popped the side cover off the peddle assembly and disconnected the water hose. Put a rag or sponge down to catch what drians out of the hose.

I had to use a mirror to see the works for the peddle assembly there are 2, #2 phillips head screws that hold the spring cartrage to the flush valve (in the bowel), take them out, re-align the "ball'. put it back togather.

Test it out.

Hold the assembly in place take out the screws one at a time put a dab of your DW's nail poilsh on the screw threads (acts like lock-tight), and snug the screws down one at a time nice-n-tight.

re-attach hose, put the cover back on the peddle assembly.
Turn water back on Flush all ya want ...
