a surge protector a good investment for your toyhauler

I gave my 3912 raptor a progressive industries surge protector for Christmas. it tells you your volts, amps, and possible errors in voltage. I recommend it for all rv's but especially those of us who like bike rallys. lets face it most of the FUN rallys have crappy power. it is a good peace of mind to add one to your rv. I was at little Sturgis last year and we were running 140 volts per leg. I decided to add one. I love the remote display. its worth it

I have the Progressive also. I plug it into the power stand and monitor the voltage and frequency before plugging the trailer into the protector. Good piece of mind and good insurance for your expensive electronics.

I've just installed mine (EMS HW30C) in my Passport 195RB.
After what I've read in this forum, this is peace of mind.

I have a new Raptor 50 amp. most campgrounds offer only 30 amp.
which unit do you own SSP50 or the SSP30.
will I need one of each depending on the campground service?

No buy the 50 amp surge protector and use a 50amp to 30 amp extension plug. Find it at your rv store.
