Ramp patio kit is it worth it?

I am looking at buying a FZ331 in the spring and thought the patio kit was a really cool idea. Now I am thinking is it worth it? Every time you leave your sight you have to put it up seem like it would be a neat thing at first but may get old setting up and taking it down every day. As I would be using the garage as a bed room for my kids and would want it closed at night. I did see a model not sure which one it was but it had a side patio with a side door that looked better because you can leave the patio out and still secure you camper when you are out and about. Is that an option you can get on any 5er? Any thoughts?

I just picked up our Raptor a couple of weeks ago that was special ordered for that reason. I did not want the patio option because I did not think that the $4400 cost was worth it. I live in Texas and we very seldom have days where it would be nice to use. A couple of lawn chairs is good enough for us. Besides, ours came with two awnings so we need to get the use out of them.

I was thinking the same thing if we had more lakes around that we could back up to maybe it would be worth it but like you here in Las Vegas not going to get as much use as I think it would. It just looks cool. Un less some can really sell it to me I think we are going to skip this option when it comes time to order it.

I guess everyone's different. We have it and use it almost everywhere we go. I'm not sure if we have the simplest style or not on our Raptor 300mp but it takes no more than 5 minutes or so to set up or take down so that's not an issue. That includes the railing and rear awning.

Certainly don't use it often, but over a river or other body of water, it sure is a nice feature!

I have the same model as crash but without the rear deck. Kind of wish we had gotten it though. We do use our garage as a bedroom for our two boys, so it would be an up and down situation and might get old but then again a had a popup before this with an add a room on the awning I used all the time. I have considered adding the deck to ours but its a bit pricey and would like to spend the money elsewhere first...

Yea our 2 can see our small tote bags that we take back and fourth from the house and camper and they go crazy knowing they are going camping ,they just love it,and our boarder collie will take off if she gets a chance too, on the other hand our bulldog dont have the desire to go no where fast

I have not seen a Bulldog that is ever in a rush to go anywhere. I am just torn should I or should I not. I know its easier to absorb that price when it’s all ready on when you buy than it is to come up with the $4K after the fact. Well I have time to think.

Thumbs up

Yea I am already sold on the six point leveling system, not only for the ease of set up but the stability of the camper. I also like that you can use it to jack the camper up if you get a flat.

Our Fuzion Touring Edition came with the kit. We set it up once and simply remove the poles and shut the ramp door. Then replace the poles the next day. Our boxer uses the patio as a playpen and the AC stays on in the screen room and cools fairly well if the temp is below 90.
Ginger has figured out that she can relax in the AC or lie in the sun.
We also use the garden hose and a sprayer to cool the patio deck and it often ends with people stopping to watch our side show. Ginger runs through the water and attacks the spray. The folks at OceanLakes had a ball laughing at her antics this summer!

2nd the six point, have it on mine. Also, 2nd the circus freak show, I think it's more the side deck than anything else, I don't have the rear deck and people always come by to talk about the side deck. It was a great addition, just wish they had centered it under the awning.

It's between the axels almost in the middle of the camper for the fresh water tank. The one for the lines is in the hatch to the right by your water controls, they have a red and blue plastic pull tab on them.
