Air bag settings are a "vehichle, load, road condition and suspension " dependent rate. Trial and error is the best method in my experience. The first set I installed a few decades ago I went through that process and it quickly occurred to me that their must be an easier way to do this.
I installed an on board compressor with under the dash controls and ressure gage. With the on board air I can alter the bags psi as Road conditions change. With our truck & trailer I've found that different pressures will alert the ride and handling. JMHO, YMMV
