The brochure available online contains about 10,000 words and "appears" to be very similar to Good Sam's extended warranty. There could very easily be a change by 3 or 4 words that would make this very different from GS, so you'd probably need to "lawyer up" to find out exactly how it differs from other extended warranties available. The list of "EXCLUDED" components is not readily available in the literature that's online, so there may be some significant differences in what they "won't" cover.
The biggest difference, I think is that it's underwritten by JAYCO, the RV manufacturer. They appear at this time, to be a "financially solid company" but all it takes is a year of people not buying RV's to cause any company in the RV industry to become financially shipwrecked. So, does that mean it's on "shaky ground" ? Who knows.
RVDA is the "Recreational Vehicle Dealer's Association" which apparently is an organization of RV dealers that have banded together to form an organization. On the "About RVDA" page of their website is the following:
"RVDA, The National RV Dealers Association, is the only national association dedicated to advancing the RV retailer's interests through education, member services, industry leadership, and market expansion programs that promote the increased sale and use of RVs and that enhance the positive image of the RV experience."
Essentially, most extended warranties are "insurance programs" that make a profit for the underwriter by getting more money from you than they return to you. So from a "global perspective" if they paid out as much as they take in, they wouldn't be available. In other words, they are interested in keeping as much of your money as possible and paying out as little as they legally are required to do.
In Vegas, they are the "house" and you are the "gambler".
