Question TV Set up????

Hi All
Trying to use my flat screen TV and switch from cable to antenna. Not having any luck getting a signal. Do you run set up menu from HDMI, AV 1 or 2 or CMT.???? It's a RCA flat screen 32 inch. I know that there is a signal in the area because I used it before but now I'm not sure about resetting to antenna.
Thanks in advance

On my flat screen I have to access the menu and select either cable or antenna, this is different from selecting av1 or component or HDMI, I have to press the menu button and then look through the options to find the "cable or Antenna" sub menu, after I do that I do a channel search.

If you have a tv in the bedroom, you may need to press the little button that turns on the amp in order for the antenna to work. Should be off for cable.

TV Question

While on this subject, does anyone know exactly the internal cabling is set up?
In my bedroom (321SAB) I have the plate in the corner with an F connector TV outlet, a cigarette lighter socket and the button to activate the antenna amplifier.

2 inches away is another plate with 2 F connector sockets and a jumper cable between them. Anyone know what this is for and how it fits into the scheme of things?

The connector in the basement near the water service is labeled "Satellite Prep" Is this the cable TV input or something else?

Thanks for any advise.
