Unhappy 326MKS Satellite Setup

Just paid $200.00 for a guy to come out to our summer site to hook up a satellite.
Here is the fun stuff. On the 326 there is a sign that reads "Satellite Prep" below the cable input.
Upon setting up the test equipment to test the signal at the television in the living area there was none.
He went to the bedroom where a signal was received when he disconnected a cable that is attached from one outside connector to another. Hope you are able to follow that.
Opened up the cover at the bedroom to find two types of cables, one orange and one white. Orange had the signal when hooked up to the meter, white did not.
Went to the living room and opened up the cover to find an orange cable. Guess what, no signal. We tried everything to figure how the satellite feed from the orange cable is supposed to be feed through the white in the bedroom.
We could not find where the orange cable (satellite cable) in the living room goes to, yet it is use for regular cable.
Ended up passing the satellite cable from the dish through the rubber seal on the kitchen/tv slide to the receiver.
There has to be a better way then this to watch tv!!!!!!!!

Hi. I am not sure if I am reading this properly but with one dedicated satellite feed/wire coming into the rv from the dish, there can only be a signal for one satellite receiver on the other end of that direct feed (with no in-wall coax splitters or the rv antenna/amplifier circuit in between). I have my 5er wired two receivers running two feeds from dish to the outside cable and satellite "in" jacks. It took some work and poking around in the wall cavities, but I figured out how to get it wired the way I wanted for separate receivers in the LR and BDRM. I would have to write a tutorial on how I did it, so pm me if you want.

This is from a previous post, hope it helps.
My Cougar: The satellite connection goes to the bedroom first (2 coax wall plate 1 water works and 1 to basement outside tv) and the only connection to the entertainment center is thru the powered coax connection (turn off power). The satellite receiver had to go in the bed room. This was ok but not the best reception at the entertainment center. Couldn't get HD to the entertainment center. Also the Cougar didn't have a phone connection.
Solution: Installed a coax and phone connector in one duplex inlet on the slideout behind the intertainment center. Behind the tv in the intertainment center I installed 3 shelves for my vcr, dish receiver and printer. There is about a 1 inch gap below the tv and the shelves. The receiver has to be raised to align the IR port with this gap.

There are pictures in my profile.

The feed to the entertainment center is from the bedroom amplifier connection (turn off amplifier).
