Adding solar panel, screws on roof.

Hi.

I'm planning to add extra solar panels to my 2023 Bullet Crossfire.

I was wondering how log screws can I use for brackets and is there any roof spot I shouldn't be putting screws on.

Thank you.

When I did this I found out the thickness of my roof then added the depth/thickness of the panel support leg/washer and bought screws that would 'just penetrate the roof wood'. In reality there is a lot of space and I wouldn't have to worry about anything under the surface of the roof even it went further.

Jay, is there any concern over lifting forces of air under the panels moving down the road? When I was thinking of this myself, I was going to try to hit the actual rafters and not necessarily trust the roof deck plywood by itself

People use 3m vhm tapes without screws, of course brackets for it are much bigger than standard solar brackets. I'm planning to use 3m tape and screws 1 - 1.5" long.
