Kitchen window

Greetings,
I posted this previously but thought I would try again and see if I can get some ideas on what how to go about the repair. I have a kitchen window that I found hanging on by a thread during a roadside inspection and I was wondering if anyone knows how to approach this repair. I have tried and tried to slide the pane back in but to no avail, my fear is that if I get to aggressive I will shatter the pane into a million pieces. The window operates on a hidden hinge mechanism and I can’t get it back in place. Do I need to remove the entire window from the opening and then try and reassemble? Thanks for your input.
