Domitec Thermostat Flashing E4?

We have a new 2013 Cougar 327RES....it has been pretty much perfect since we brought it home...yes, we did have some issues with the control panel...sometimes it just needs to be reset (big PITA), but husband does it.

Here in Oklahoma we have been having 100+ degree weather. We had not been to our RV in about 2 weeks (keep it at Grand Lake). We immediately noticed the thermostat flashing E4.

Air works just fine....I have what E4 error code means: open circuit or out of range outdoor temperature sensor...

Anybody out there have this E4 error code and if so, what did you do to "fix it"?

Do you have a heat pump on your RV? if you do, the outdoor sensor (the temp sensor in the rooftop unit) has lost communication with the thermostat. If you only have an air conditioner (not a heat pump) you can reset the thermostat by disconnecting shore power, disconnecting the battery and waiting for 4 or 5 minutes, then reconnecting power. The error code should reset and disappear. If, however, you do have a heat pump, you need to troubleshoot why your rooftop temp sensor is not communicating with your thermostat.
