Depends on what type of RV you have - - travel trailer or 5th wheel. Even better would be the exact model number. Once that is known you will get gazillions of suggestions.
You should fill out a profile so people know what you have and are asking questions about.

The type of hitch is more a personal choice.
Some people like the B&W Companion, some prefer Anderson, and so on.

It's like asking what the best truck is, Ford, Chevy, Ram, etc.

There is no "Best", and you will likely get answers based on what that person is using for their setup.

Just make sure the hitch you choose is rated for the weight you will be pulling.

Now with that said, I like my B&W Companion.
But a lot of users don't like that hitch because of how heavy it is.

If the 5ther is under warranty, to not void it, no Anderson. Just FYI. I made that mistake and now I have a new Anderson hitch hanging on my wall. No one wants to buy it...lol I only wanted to tow with a goose neck ball, so I went with Reese Goosebox 20K. Will not void the warranty.

If not under warranty, the sky is the limit.

Short bed or long bed? If short bed then auto or manual slider?

To go along with the short/long bed consideration, depending on the trailer year, it may or may not have the "Max Turn Front Cap" which dramatically improves the turn capability when used with a short bed truck.

Lots more information would help "zero in" on the recommendation or on the things to consider based on your specific truck and trailer configuration.

Well what year?
Also your 2006 F350 should have a yellow and black payload sticker on the drivers door jam, what is your max payload?

I have the puck system in my ford, well I had it installed when I bought my truck, and I use the Reese hitch that ford rebranded and I have been very happy with it.

We travel extensively requiring a lot of "drop & hook" one night stays and some of those are in campgrounds built before the invention of 42 foot fifth wheel RVs, making for some very tight maneuvering and unlevel sights. Not to mention tricky driving through fuel stations seeking to buy gasoline or diesel at the car ports.

So anyways, long story short, I use the Demco Hijacker Auto Slider even though I am pulling a 2023 Montana, with a short bed, using the newly discovered "turning cap"

This is not my first rodeo pulling a 5er and I can say without a doubt, "auto slider" style hitches make for easier turning as well as pulling the pin when the time comes. "Manual" sliders work very well as long as your rig is in a straight line and fairly level without side twist. But as the name implies, the operator must stop the rig, exit the vehicle, and unlock the slider then re-enter the vehicle, set the trailer brakes while inching the tow vehicle forward in hopes the hitch slides toward the back. The gooder part, the operator gets to do everything in reverse before moseying on down the road.

I must say I am disappointed our Montana "Roto-Flex" pin box requires an entirely different capture plate(s) than the MORryde pin box we had on our first 5er. The MORyde system was so much more forgiving when hooking & dropping as compared to the Roto-Flex pin box we now have.

As was previously stated by another, choosing a hitch system is like buying a vehicle or a RV. Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge, diesel vs gas, Keystone vs Forest River etc., etc., etc. Oh yeah, there is a cost factor to consider also and did I mention etc?

Just my two cents and I will stand corrected. So now if you will excuse me, I shall once again step down from my soapbox.

Thanks for asking, be well, your friend and mine.

I have a 2006 F350XL w/6.0L 4WD CC LWB and my payload wouldn't be enough to safely pull that Sprinter. My truck's payload per the yellow/white placard in the driver's door frame say 39XX. Although I have an Andersen Ultimate hitch, between stuff in the truck, may wife and i, we push 4500 lbs (estimated) which exceeds my payload.

I have a B & W because I have a fifth wheel and a goose neck Trailer. This fits my requirements the best.

I just had to get a new hitch for the new truck 2023 F350 and I ended up getting a B&W Companion, price availability, and shipping cost. My previous was a Reese 16K. Just put it in today. Very happy with it for installing. I like the puck system better than my old rail system. (I got a 20K hitch.) Hooks up easy, disconnects easy even if loaded. Haven't towed yet as still have to get truck break in done. Worth looking at.
