I'm not suggesting that the pump IS your problem, or that the SeaFlo sfdp1-030-045-33 are "junk pumps"... But, that pump is available on Amazon for $46. A typical FloJet RV water pump is $130 and a ShurFlo pump used in an RV is around $140.

So, "doing the math", a pump that's 1/3 the price may not measure up to what's been the standard pumps in the past.....

If you do determine that the pump has failed and it is the pump that's leaking, you might consider a higher quality pump as a replacement

Here are links to the FloJet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

and ShurFlo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WTL72Y...WxfdGhlbWF0aWM

There's certainly something to be said for that – but if two pumps in a row are showing the same leak, one immediately after the other, my inclination is to suspect the leak is actually somewhere in the connector or tubing and it's just running down to the other end of the pump.

Did this issue get fixed if so what was the fix. I have the same issue with pump leaking after hot water heater has been on from sane area of pump. I was also about to replace the pump.
