Question Dual batteries

I just bought a new Outback 300 RB and was wandering about installing an additional 12 volt battery? Is it worth the effort?

If most or all of your RVing is spent using full or partial hookups, then having a second battery is probably not necessary. On the other hand, if you frequently or sometimes dry camp, then I would recommend installing one. Not sure of how your space is for putting in a second battery but if there is room, I'd go for it. In this case, it would be worth both the time and effort as well as the additional cost.

Not much effort needed if you have the space. You should just need a second battery, box, connectors, and enough wire to connect the + of the new battery to the + current battery and - to -. We dry camp quite a bit in the spring and fall and can easily do three days on two 12v batteries. I will switch to 6v batteries when the current batteries go bad in a few years.
