Under Bed Storage Mod

In addition to completing my dinette drawer mod (see my earlier post) I added doors to the under bed storage area today. This is a compartment were we can now easily keep shoes and our ceramic heater, etc., and best of all we can now access these items without disturbing someone who may still be in bed .

Here are a few before and after pics:

Bill that is an awesome mod, beats straining to raise all that weight of the mattress. It looks professionally done

That looks great. Could you let me know where you got the doors? Now that I have shown my DW she is asking when could I get it done.

Camper 2010,

I ordered the doors and hardware from Keystone through my dealer to match exactly what was already in my TT. The doors are the same size (14" x 22")as the one installed by the factory over the entertainment center in our 19FBPR.

You will find this a simple mod. I cut the holes with a cordless circular saw and only had reinforce the top edge of the opening by gluing a header in. The hinges are screwed directly into the existing frame.

Thanks for the info. In my Cougar there isn't any doors near that size. I will try to order by the size and color.

Looks like there is a divider between the two compartments. Is that factory or is that part of the mod? Our under bed storage is one large cavity......

BTW...Nice mod! Well done!

Chris199, The divider was factory on our unit. I'd say it was "standard" but I'm not sure much of anything is standard from unit to unit these days.

Search mods using your name and came up with threads you started but could not find the one on the dinette drawer mod.
Could you please direct me to it.
Thanks.
