Stair Storage

Thanks to others who suggested and improved on storage under the steps to the master suite, I decided to tear into it and see what I could screw up. It came out well as shown by the photos.

I decided I wanted a place that I could put a wall safe and realizing that it could be turned on it's back I determined that it would fit into the place previosuly occupied by dead space under the two steps.

I tore out the steps and redesigned with the safe installed and made a new framework, new riser (covered with old carpet) and two new steps. Bottom step was modified to miss the slide out when it is in and was enlarged to match the new larger top step (needed for the size of the safe).

The third picture is just for fun! Sometimes the general public thinks our rigs are too big - no this is BIG. This steel beam was headed down the road in FL on Thursday with it's twin following close behind. I estimated at 150-175 feet total and a lot more tires than we have!!! and yes it is just one truck nothing hiding behind the bushes!!!
